i can’t believe that girl actually wrote that essay for a college level class😭 it’s an opinion piece, i’m sure there ARE ways you could spout transphobic rhetoric w/o making false claims and keeping within the academic standard. but she didn’t do that😭

The part that bothered me too was usually when you’re writing something in college in response to an article, you have to actually MENTION the article, her essay basically mentioned it as a footnote and then never brought it up again

according to that one tiktok creator i saw she's part of a sorority that u need to have good ass grades to stay a part of and her mom is like a lawyer or some shit, so they might be doing it as a stunt to get famous via grifting cause the professor is allegedly trans also??

like i’m sure someone could write their opinion and just carefully avoid dismissing scientific claims in their work and they wouldn’t get a failing grade. granted they wouldn’t get a 100% grade bc it would be heavily unsupported, but intelligence wise it’s like she didn’t even try not to fail

LMFAOO😭that makes it that much easier to argue that it would all fall to shit and still fall within assignment guidelines. could say some shit like “from my interpretation of my faith, i believe xyz” and cite the bible and whatnot and it still would not be very academic and not get a good grade, but it would at least actually answer the prompt😭😭

the grad student was trans and that’s what everyone’s freaking out abt, but the professor of the course isn’t and literally agreed with the grad student iirc. i think it’s a dumb stunt tho bc there is a possibility her grade stays the same and then she’s kicked out of the sorority. but also how did she even get into the sorority when she rights like that😭
