i mean i hate to be that guy but weed literally IS scientifically different from alcohol. you should never drive under the influence, but many people use PLENTY of medicinal marijuana and they still need to be able to drive. most sensible people are not driving if they are heavily impaired, those who do are not rational even when sober 🩷

i’m saying to not drive while high i smoke weed myself and never once have i thought “i’m gonna get behind the wheel” after lighting up. medical marijuana wouldn’t cause someone’s tolerance to be so high they’re functioning without feeling anything if they’re using it the way it’s prescribed. i’m referring to the idiots who smoke carts and other shit and hit it whenever they please even while on the road. there’s a huge difference.

and it’s actually equally comparable to alcohol in the terms of driving because the same idea goes towards people who have a lot to drink one night just because they need to get somewhere doesn’t mean Uber doesn’t exist… it honestly goes for any psychological altering substance.

they are both substances that impair your awareness. i’m pretty sure they said it in quotes not because they don’t believe they’re different, but because that’s the excuse people say when they go to drive while high. nobody should be driving while impaired no matter what.

I am a stoner with a med card and a very high tolerance due to malabsorption in my stomach, liver, and intestines. There are plenty of times where I don’t necessarily feel impaired but I have never and will never drive while thc is in my system. There are no excuses.
