This, the leap frog, Nintendo ds, and those cheap portable dvd players kept me satisfied. I’ll employ the same for my kids. No need to monitor when I know what’s in it.

I am so unc that I had a portable VCR that I would take in the car on long rides as a kid and it was like a giant block would sit next to you while the screen was on the back of the seat 😭

I’m pretty sure this was it, I forgot it also had a DVD player in it, too. But at the time I think I mostly had VHS tapes
