It’s really a trial and error game. I have fine hair but a lot of it (2B/C) hair and for years I was told only use mousse bc that’s all my hair could handle. My hair doesn’t like that. Yk what it does like? Curl cream and moisture. My hair is less frizzy and waves better using those products that I ever got using the suggested products

The curls come from my dad (who is always shaved bald) and my mom’s hair is straight as a pencil She’s tried to help in the past, but she always fries my hair or makes the frizz worse 😵‍💫 I’m very out of my depth and nothing seems to work

right now i’m using tío nacho shampoo and conditioner (obsessed w this tbh), garnier fructis 10-in-1 leave in conditioner, and to refresh my curls in the morning i spray it with water and then not your mother’s sea salt spray it has been a lot of trial and error for me bc im the only one in my family with curly hair other than my brother (who buzzes his hair) and i spent most of my life straightening it

one thing i’ve learned is the curly girl method is too much for mine in particular. i have to go with things that are more meant for waves even though a lot of my hair is fully curly. i have kind of a mixed pattern i guess but it gets weighed down SO easily compared to more porous 3c/4c type curls
