i’m lowkey thinking abt maybe getting a tattoo in the future, has anyone gotten one on their hip and what was the healing like? tattoos are a bit of a taboo in my family bc we’re jewish so i have like an extra layer of nerves around the idea lol

Tattoo healing is pretty simple and hard to mess up imo. My hip tat healed the same as all my other ones. No direct sun, no swimming for at least 2 weeks after and make sure to clean it at least twice a day with a no scent soap

Not hip, but ribs, and I feel like that’s similar. Healing for me was easy but touch ups will probably be needed

Fr. I feel like as long as you keep it clean, avoid soaking it and don’t itch or rub it then it’ll heal just fine

if u don’t mind me asking, how big was ur tattoo and like how complicated was it? i would probably get something small and just black linework with no other colors, do u know if that changes the need for touch ups? tysm!!

It’s about the size of my hand laid flat against my skin! Decently complicated. It’s a bouquet of flowers nicely shaded. I haven’t gotten touchups on mine even though it needs it. I do think colors and more complicated shading definitely need touchups more than just plain black

Yeah for sure. I have 9 tattoos and I’ve only messed up one because I had it in the sun before the 2 weeks was up and it’s also my only one with color when I went back for another she saw it and knew immediately it saw the sun. Shes a real one though because she re colored it for free
