i feel like “conventionally attractive” guys are actually chosen because they’re attractive to other men. guys tend to prefer men who are more muscular and taller bc they see them as competition, while girls tend to find men attractive when they seem to have more personality (sweet, funny, charming) and based on their ability to be a good father and husband. interestingly, women also find more angular/taller women attractive bc we see them as a threat, but men find rounder, shorter women more-
