Provide cash, shelter, food, basics and ongoing support to families in need since 98% of birth moms relinquish rights simply bc they don’t have the resources to parent 2) legal guardianship (NOT adoption) given to any family members wiling to step in 3) legal guardianship to any close friends or community members willing to step in 4) last resort: legal guardianship (not adoption) given to strangers
Adoption in the US changes birth certificates. And in many states adoptees are unable to access their original birth certificate until they’re 18. It changes who their BIRTH parents are, can change the date, can change the name etc. Legally severing all legal ties to the birth family which the adoptee may not be able to consent to. It also doesn’t entitle them to access to family health history
