This. I had a really close friend who ended up being the closest I’ve ever witnessed to a narcissist. She treated everyone she ever got close with terribly. She was so beautiful, but after she showed her true colors, I genuinely couldn’t see her as pretty anymore. It was crazy, actually, and I didn’t realize it until after the fact. Everyone thinks beauty coming from within is a cliche, but I truly do believe it.
