Growing up being ugly/insecure and often excluded, I hate to admit that I crave attention/validation. Whether it’s from family, friends, especially men, I just want to feel wanted and noticed. Unfortunately it feels like my worth is measured by others.

And don’t even get me started with the stuff I used to do in order to get male validation. I still find myself doing it but it’s not as bad as a few years ago 🫩

Same, doesn’t help when so many people still work to tear me down at the age of 22. Someone ive known since kindergarten was calling me a freak bc my skin condition on half my face (gets darling in the sun, we were at the beach) but claims she’s “body positive”. It took a lot to get to the point of me feeling ok but that’s my biggest insecurity and now I’m back to square one and hating all different parts of myself again

Like this friend got mad that I jokingly said my dog was “aww little fatty” (he’s not but was eating a lot), and that my friend said the r word (he has that medical label and was talking about it, not making fun of anyone). Doesn’t like that I said smth was stupid, etc. but no it’s ok for her to say something. Now I cant look in the mirror, Im back to wanting to scrape it off and hating other things such as my weight (I’ve gained 14lbs since moving home, but I’m still under 150)
