Hot take: it should be a law that you cannot conceive at a certain age. Like, if you’re wanting kids at an advanced age (40+) you’ll be denied it and given an explanation as to why (it increases medical risks for the offspring); if you ignore that 1/2

This is a slippery slope to eugenics. I agree it’s wrong to set a kid up for failure and suffering but does that also apply to people with genetic disorders? Mental health issues? It’s the same principle

ok so now you’ll have a group of people who likely need MORE medical attention not going to the doctors at all bc of this. and ofc we can’t forget that abortion is illegal in a lot of places. it’s so ironic you’re talking about the bigger picture when you can’t think for 5 seconds to see how this will do so much more harm than good

You’ll have to pay a heavy fine that’ll go into the child’s social security and health care benefits. I may be biased cause I have multiple health issues (both mental and physical) and was conceived from a 50 year old father. He had no business getting his dick wet, and he should’ve known better as a doctor

Personally I don’t think that’s necessarily true. One is to eradicate a specific gene or culture (ethnicity, faith, physical or mental characteristics) while the other is to stop old people from having children. Younger couples conceive children with mental and physical disabilities all the time. Going after advanced aged pregnancies limits the risks for both the parent AND the child from major trauma, further medical issues, and death.

There is a whole community of people in similar situations as me, and there is multiple research studies that confirm this issue; an issue that can be easily fixed. See the broader picture.

“Younger couples conceive children with mental and physical disabilities all the time.” But your issue is the older women that are having unhealthy babies… girl what

Eugenics isn’t black or white like that, that’s why gene editing and “designer babies” are such a hot button issue. And it’s still a watered down way to essentially breed medical issues out of the population by preventing a group of people from procreating, no matter the potential consequences. I also think a lot of geriatric pregnancies are accidents, because they don’t realize they’re still fertile
