It’s not too expensive to get engaged (especially if you have a family member’s ring like I do) or married if you elope, but I get what you mean :,)

the concept of thinking an engagement costs less or is easier to plan than having a child

that’s true :) i don’t think i can take my mom’s ring or anyone’s and i def don’t want to elope, i would like a wedding bc i always doubted i’d be loved or married in the first place lol
