idk if this is insensitive to say, but i saw these hijabi girls ln who were just SERVING. a woman being fully covered and wearing a hijab has no choice but to serve face at all times and they ace the assignment every. time. and i love that. 🥰

there’s a specific shade of pink i’ve only seen on hijabs and it is genuinely so beautiful and no matter the skin tone it goes with it perfectly and they’re already beautifully serving face but when irs with that one pale pink hijab oh goodness they look ethereal

FOR REALLL. Like the only reason that I dont copy them is bc I’m not Muslim and don’t want to appropriate their religious dressing but goodness. They are so elegant and put together, AND very kind women. I feel honored to be in their presence every time. Especially bc in Texas I didn’t grow up around many Muslims, so coming to college I’ve learned so much and it’s awe striking. Both men and women. 10s across the board.

I could literally talk about this forever, I’ve started reading the english translated Quran just to learn because of my admiration. Clearly there’s something in there to learn because I have yet to see or meet a Muslim woman that I have not wanted to be like.

omg same!!! I used to consider converting to islam because I admire it so much and I also plan to read the Quran some day! I grew up in a jewish family and a lot of them are prejudiced and islamophobic and it makes me so sad because its such a beautiful religion ;;; honestly feel that way about most religions/cultures I wish everyone could see the beauty in the world 😭

Yes! I lead a very haram lifestyle and don’t wanna change that so I haven’t reverted. But I had the privilege of having Jewish roommates my freshman year who let me be at their Shabbat dinner they hosted and I learned so much. The next year I had Muslim roommates, both a boy and a girl, and bc I eat pork I had a designated dish sponge that was only used for dishes with pork, and got in the habit of waking up early w them for Ramadan to eat. Both were wonderful.

My hometown was hugely Christian and I was raised Christian (i no longer subscribe) but having the opportunity to learn about Judaism and Islam and be immersed…absolutely changed my life. So I’m very heavily interested in the practicioners bc it’s so new to me and it seems soooo beautiful. Don’t think I’ll ever join either religion but I love to watch from a respectful distance haha

yess you get me! I myself am also interested in learning about Christianity/reading the Bible (i especially love the illuminated manuscripts/religious art by Jessie Bayes), and if you havent already i’d suggest looking into buddhism and daoism ♡ chinese poetry got me really into daoism especially ones by Yu Xuanji, the culture and literature is just so amazing

ooh yes thats next on my list. i remember going to the nearest buddhist temple in my town for the market but was told not to read anything lol. i’m very curious to learn, bot just for my own knowledge but so i know how to be respectful and kind to ppl of all religions reciprocally. very excited, ty for the recommendations! 🥰and i would suggest the nkv version of the bible. authentic but not unreadable. weird stuff in there but some gems if u dont take it literally 🫶🏾
