My dad has a habit whenever he passes a missing pet poster for a cat or small dog he says to himself “your cat/dog is gone” because we live in an area where hawks and coyotes are regularly spotted.

I told my parents to keep our cats inside when they moved, they didn’t listen. One of them got shot by a bb and the other ran away for the past 4 months and was only recently found. Whereas my cat has never had any injuries and I never let her outside unsupervised.

my uni is right along the mississippi, in an area with a lot of bald eagles and other birds of prey, and still the amount of cats i see outside is insane

cats are also invasive as fuck and horrible for local bird populations. why people don’t get them fixed and keep them inside is beyond me

my hs weed dealer kept getting cats named mr. mans because they kept getting fucking eaten and he never really seemed to notice that he had different cats. tbh that was only one of several things wrong with hilltop john (ik theres at least one other evergreen girlie on here so hey queen if u see this)
