tbh join clubs/student orgs, if greek life is something that interests u do that too! i have a couple of friends who commute to my school from a similar distance and we met via a student org, occasionally they sleep over in my/my other friends places after nights out etc. it’s really abt making friends and getting to know a lot of ppl, especially ur first semester. and ur not going to be able to make it to EVERY single thing, and that’s okay! that would also be true if u lived on campus.

as someone who also commuted to a school 30 minutes away (because i couldn’t afford to live on campus…) i 100% recommend joining greek life!! a lot of times when you form a good relationship your sisters will let you spend the night and it’s also great to have a sorority house to hang out at when you’re on campus and have nowhere else to go (i went to a small private liberal arts college and no one lived in our house so it was just a neutral space to hang out)

Maybe be the designated driver bc it’s easy to drive ppl on campus home since it’s all close together and then you can be sure to get home safe
