REAL i was on birth control for mine for a year and a half not having a period was great until lawsuits came out about the shot causing brain tumors 🤩

yessss i love womens reproductive care!!! just found out there’s lead in tampons and PFAs in period underwear!!! and birth control shots give women cancer! and the pill gives women cancer! and basically everything is expensive and evil!!

well… birth control doesn’t give you cancer i don’t want to spread misinformation and fear monger. the only one that seems to actually do that is the shot. not all of them do :)

birth control is linked to some cancers. it just also reduces your risk for other cancers. in my case, it gave me horrific depression and brain fog :/

the shot is linked to brain tumors. that’s the only one that is technically given the lawsuit. not all methods of birth control are and i prefer not to generalize that :) it does have good benefits though

nah. fuck birth control. unless it’s needed to provide quality of life improving care like for people with pcos or endometriosis, it sucks. i felt like an entirely different person on it because it was literally controlling my hormones 😭 i’ve tried three different varieties and hate them all. condoms all the way

by benefits i mean it prevents pregnancy and helps some people with medical conditions. some side effects aren’t as bad for some people so if it works for them then that’s good
