Ik you said excluding New York but upstate New York like Albany or Utica aren’t too bad, I have a 2 bedroom Apartment for $1500 and that’s with utilities

i was thinking this! or somewhere in michigan maybe. i think i’d like it up there but id have to fr be in the city center i feel like. and thats fine, it just seems like the apartments are pricier

i actually was interested in buffalo bc they have a large black population but just looking st the maps it seems like its maybe tricky to get around without a car

if theres a good town you know of im not opposed bc i have family there, but im not sure their public transportation is up to the par i need to at least be able to have basic needs accessible
