MONEY. I will give money to my friends and family because that means they can buy what they want when they feel like it. I just wrap it up really weirdly to give them a laugh as they open it

I like the idea of wrapping it weirdly, what kind of ways do you do that? Money just feels so impersonal, I agree with you I prefer to get money for myself, but when other people are choosing gifts for me I want to respond with a gift

I’ll do a “bouquet of flowers” where I wrap single dollar bills around a stick until it looks like flowers. Get a pizza box and spread singles out in a circle fan and put quarters as “pepperoni”. Give my friends and family a tissue box where the end of the money are taped together so they’re continuously pulling out one long strand of dollar bills

I feel the same way about it being impersonal, but it reached a point where no one gave me a list for ANYTHING so I said fuck it and gave them money
