I got sexually harassed by a group of residents who mocked my period and half jokingly “condemned” the Cornell rapists. The worst part is I’m an RA to a few of them and the only RA on the floor. Any advice on how to avoid them?

Is there some kind of report system? Sorry idk how any of this works. Maybe you can file a report on it and if they keep doing it you have some evidence. Maybe title IX? Maybe someone can help you get their room changed or similar?

I did report it but now it’s out of my hands and i was wondering if anyone had like good ways to avoid talking to them or shut them down if they try to come up to me so i can walk away and call my bosses like i was advised to

Ohhhh i see, maybe you can say that youre busy and have to get to class/meeting or something? Or you might have to try a more direct approach like saying “sorry, not interested in talking” or if they need you for something ra-related you can politely redirect them to a different ra/boss. I know it sounds really robot-y 🥴 saying something like “no thank you”/literally walking away/ignoring when they try to talk to you might be the solution, although it seems oddly polite. Kill em with kindness
