Im 18 and I feel so behind because I’m not dressing my age like I’m still in ban tee shirts, jeans, bead bracelets and sweats and everyone is in fancy or business clothes I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to grow out of this stuff like my dad wants

it might not make sense for you to dress business-y, especially outside of work anyway. pinterest really helped me figure out my personal style as an adult, and i find my clothes at the thrift or on depop because i don’t really like all this basic shein or forever 21 type stuff

I’m 21 and still live in band tee’s, sweats, and my arms are always covered in bracelets every day. If you like the clothes you’re wearing then there is no reason to change them but if you feel uncomfortable then maybe try out some different type of pants or shirt

Maybe try out wearing plain tees and jeans or leggings?

there’s always a way for you to keep your personal vibe but make it more appropriate for like the office or just to feel more mature. honestly though at 18 i’d think you can still get away with dressing casual outside of work, you’re still a teenager
