Hey girlies I am really struggling. Idk if it’s an STI or BV but it’s insufferable and I don’t have the money or insurance to get it checked out and treated. Idk what to do because it’s put my sex life to a halt and I have a new partner :(

u 1000000% need to get testing done no matter the price. health issues aren't something u can ignore or try to treat without medical testing, it'll just lead to potentially life ruining issues if u don't get it worked out sooner rather than later

:/ are you in college per chance? There’s campus clinics that could maybe help. If not , I’d even look into homeless shelters that could help. Also, if you go to an emergency department they will by law treat you and help you. Social service will get involved with payments to help you as much as possible. The healthcare system is corrupt but I promise us healthcare girlies want to help you. I hope it goes okay queen

just based on the description, it sounds like an STD. if so, you gotta get that treated ASAP. these things can fester and develop into pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and cause long-term complications. what state are you located in? it would be easier to point you to resources if we knew. please reach out if you’d like!!

Girl definitely go get that looked at. Whatever it is can definitely affect your kidneys or any other organ up in there. Look into what your symptoms could be, it could be as simple as a UTI. Don’t hesitate to take care of your 🐱 health tho. She’s sensitive and shouldn’t be ignored

And yes, I’ve looked at Planned Parenthood. And no, there are no clinics near me that do free testing or testing.

You have to get it checked bc I promise you whatever it is the late stage version of it is infinitely more expensive

If you have itching and bad smelling discharge it’s most likely yeast, look into monistat, if it’s more weird smelling pee and pain with urination it could be a UTI, look into AZO, it’s a medication to help with the pain, cranberry supplements and hydration help rid of it. If your mid back starts hurting it’s your kidneys and could lead to sepsis. Take this as you may, it’ll be okay<3 and I’m very sorry this is happening:((

(I am not a doctor, I’m a nursing student who’s had chronic UTIs and yeast infections so I am not qualified for major health interventions, I’m speaking from primarily personal experiences)

⚠️ tmi warning for readers ⚠️ I’m itchy and it burns when I pee and my pee smells very off. I’ve done research and I know it’s not yeast bc my discharge is like a light yellow. Those are about the only symptoms however they are also symptoms of hsv 2 which my ex exposed me to 🫠

It’s all so overwhelming. I am in college but not full time which at my college you have to be, to get treated/tested

Is it strictly urination or you you have pain and itch in general? Dm to take this out of the comments bc as a nursing student (don’t take this weirdly, strictly medical) I’d love to talk about this some more and help you as much as I can , I turned DMs on for this

If your ex exposed you to hsv 2 it’s crucial to be tested for it so it doesn’t progress, so like I said, ED’s will treat you by law, social services will likely help with figuring out payment, medial practitioners just want to help ://

I think in emergency situations, especially if you involve the counseling offices you would be helped on campus regardless of enrollment status, and even so, counseling centers can refer you to place that would provide care

What state r u in

if it burns to pee it could be a uti which is not treatable without antibiotics and left long enough could end in a kidney infection that will cost u thousands

You could also be incredibly dehydrated, as that can cause similar symptoms bc of how crystallized the pee is during dehydration

Depending on where you are there may be a city or state run free or discounted clinic

There are no free clinics near me, but there’s a planned parenthood that offers discount treatment. But even then I can’t afford it. I have to choose between gas and food.

Not dehydrated, I drink a good amount of water every day. I would be shocked if it were dehydration.
