my bf told me w my next set i can start doing nails i’d approve for engagement pics (i agreed i wanted to be warned a couple sets ahead) but now idk if i want to stay true to my usual long colorful or do more dainty white/light designs 🫠 opinions please!

Be urself deadass. I’d want my engagement pics to be a proper representation of me, not influenced by what society thinks I should look like. I try to remove societal norms out of everything I do and this would be a perfect place to do that!

personally i had red cat eye nails at my wedding and it was the best choice because i feel like that looks most like me in those pictures! don't water yourself down bud :)

Do you babe!! If you want something bridal when it gets popped then swing that way but hes asking bc he wants you as you are so Im sure him and anyone else in your life would love to see you with whatever you want to have on

thank you for this!! i was unfortunately one of those little girls who fantasized about princes, weddings, and being a bride and watched tons of romantic movies lol so i think i just always had a very “picture perfect” idea of what my own engagement would look like. but the more i think about it the more i realize i would normally never do a short white set so like why would i have that in pictures lol now i just have to figure out some whimsical nails that will look good with silver :)

A lot of those scenes have patriarchy and even sometimes misogyny built right in. The most perfect engagement is the one where you feel autonomy, self love, and love for your partner all in one. And the pictures/ decisions you make should represent that!
