there are so many seniors who genuinely have no one who cares about them and it makes me so sad. my last job before i started school was at a physical rehab hospital and it broke my heart how many people would just dump their family member in there and ghost. we would end up having to get the state involved and they would go to a nursing home where i assume no one ever visited them again

At first the reaction is like “oh great” especially when they call with a nasty tone saying they never got their script, which leads you to hopping on the system making sure they actually picked it up and then noticing what meds they are on ☹️

Better question is how on earth did he get there? My grandma suffers from dementia too… my dad took away her car like 6 years ago and moved her into assisted living because she NEEDS sticky notes everywhere to “remember” stuff… they were even in her car:( its so so so sad. My dad has mentioned that someday she’ll likely not remember him too:( she’s already forgotten who i am sometimes because i dyed my hair brown instead of blonde😔
