Part of feminism and gender equality is learning to not make assumptions about someone based on their biological sex or gender identity

I think everyone needs a lecture on it regardless of gender identity tbh. A lot of people (mostly men and some women) don’t understand that the point of feminism isn’t to establish female supremacy but to achieve gender equality

i do agree on this. a lot of people (particularly but not limited to men) fear feminism because they do not seem to grasp that the point of feminism is at its core just to achieve gender equality.

I’ve gotten in so many debates on here and other places just because I mentioned being feminist or wanting to see more feminism in the world and the other people just assumed I meant misandrist/female supremacist. Like we can acknowledge men’s privileges without resorting to bioessentialism, I guess some people just want to see things in black and white though

Doesn’t stop me from trying to explain it to them though, I still like to try. I’ve been able to change a few minds but not many

yeah because misogyny is as material as misandry. I can come up with 10 different metrics that puts that completely to rest. dumb bitch.
