it genuinely depends on how bad it is. 9/10 you need to make that doctors appointment bc antifungals is the primary treatment for yeast infections and u need to visit the doctor to see how bad it is or what kind of yeast it is

Monistat is otc. Just be sure it’s a yeast infection and not BV or something.

yeahhhhhhh this was my experience; i tried to wait mine out for a bit but it only really got better when i finally got a prescription

Shiiiiit it sucks bc I got antibiotics to treat a UTI and then it fucked my pH balance up and caused a yeast infection 🙃
1
Anonymous#22w
that’s how it is most of the time, and it’s also just good to go ahead and go to the doctor so they can make sure it isn’t some underlying issue as well
1
AnonymousOP2w
well antibiotics aren’t used to treat yeast infections so that might be the problem unless ur just confusing them
3
Anonymous#12w
oh sorry i misread your comment!! but antifungals should be able to help you!
1
Anonymous#12w
but pls make sure ur telling ur doctors that the antibiotics they’re giving u has resulted in the messed up Ph and yeast infection, they can run more tests to make sure there’s nothing more going on

I already had a whole women’s health exam and everything looks fine except the UTI. This is not fun yall I just want to be healthy
1
Anonymous#12w
yeah tbh anything going wrong down there isn’t something to take risks with it’s one of those things where it can suck but you gotta get the prescription
1
AnonymousOP2w
i’m sorry, i was just trying to provide advice and help. but if you have a yeast infection, you need antifungals to treat them
1
Anonymous#22w
exaclty bc so many things can go wrong untreated conditions down there
1
Anonymous#12w
I know and I literally got examined last week and so I know everything is fine except the uti
1
AnonymousOP2w
so why did u post saying that u had a yeast infection? if u have a uti you do need the antibiotics and you should take your full rounds that is prescribed to you
1
Anonymous#12w
I got a yeast infection BECAUSE of the antibiotics I was prescribed for last week when I was diagnosed with a uti
1
AnonymousOP2w
if that’s the case then you have more problems than just the UTI. you need to go the the doctor and get a checkup to get a prescription for antifungals. yeast infections and UTIS are not treated by the same medication.

Anonymous#12w
I knowwwwwww. When I went to the doctor I did not have a yeast infection but I did have a uti. Then I started the prescribed antibiotics for the uti and because of the antibiotics I developed a yeast infection. I know they are not treated the same way.

Yeah I got a checkup last week and everything is fine except the uti :)

AnonymousOP2w
idk if you’re just choosing not to understand what im saying, but if you suspect you have a yeast infection, u need to get checked and get some sort of antifungal
1
AnonymousOP2w
im so confused, why r u asking about advice for a yeast infection if you’re gonna keep saying, “everything is fine except the uti” clearly everything is not fine! is this rage bait
1
Anonymous#12w
Okay sorry I’ll rephrase, everything *was* fine at the time of the checkup except the uti. Does that make sense? (Not saying that to be rude like there rly is some miscommunication here)

AnonymousOP2w
dude just get the monistat or a prescription if you think u have a yeast infection. if you’re still taking the antibiotics, i recommend talking to your doctor bc you’ll probably need combined treatment. have a good day

Anonymous#12w
Girl I’m sorry I genuinely misunderstood what you were saying. I wasn’t choosing to not understand I guess something just isn’t clicking

Anonymous#12w
Not trying to be a bitch or rage bait, I fear I’m actually just really dumb sometimes
