it genuinely depends on how bad it is. 9/10 you need to make that doctors appointment bc antifungals is the primary treatment for yeast infections and u need to visit the doctor to see how bad it is or what kind of yeast it is

Monistat is otc. Just be sure it’s a yeast infection and not BV or something.

Shiiiiit it sucks bc I got antibiotics to treat a UTI and then it fucked my pH balance up and caused a yeast infection 🙃

that’s how it is most of the time, and it’s also just good to go ahead and go to the doctor so they can make sure it isn’t some underlying issue as well

well antibiotics aren’t used to treat yeast infections so that might be the problem unless ur just confusing them

but pls make sure ur telling ur doctors that the antibiotics they’re giving u has resulted in the messed up Ph and yeast infection, they can run more tests to make sure there’s nothing more going on

yeah tbh anything going wrong down there isn’t something to take risks with it’s one of those things where it can suck but you gotta get the prescription

i’m sorry, i was just trying to provide advice and help. but if you have a yeast infection, you need antifungals to treat them

so why did u post saying that u had a yeast infection? if u have a uti you do need the antibiotics and you should take your full rounds that is prescribed to you

I got a yeast infection BECAUSE of the antibiotics I was prescribed for last week when I was diagnosed with a uti

if that’s the case then you have more problems than just the UTI. you need to go the the doctor and get a checkup to get a prescription for antifungals. yeast infections and UTIS are not treated by the same medication.

I knowwwwwww. When I went to the doctor I did not have a yeast infection but I did have a uti. Then I started the prescribed antibiotics for the uti and because of the antibiotics I developed a yeast infection. I know they are not treated the same way.

idk if you’re just choosing not to understand what im saying, but if you suspect you have a yeast infection, u need to get checked and get some sort of antifungal

im so confused, why r u asking about advice for a yeast infection if you’re gonna keep saying, “everything is fine except the uti” clearly everything is not fine! is this rage bait

Okay sorry I’ll rephrase, everything *was* fine at the time of the checkup except the uti. Does that make sense? (Not saying that to be rude like there rly is some miscommunication here)

dude just get the monistat or a prescription if you think u have a yeast infection. if you’re still taking the antibiotics, i recommend talking to your doctor bc you’ll probably need combined treatment. have a good day
