I don’t know how true it was, but I heard that supposedly when Steve and Terri were dating, they were doing a camping thing and when they took a dip in the river, she noticed that he kept moving around her every time she moved. So she asked him “why?” And he said, “well, I’m pretty sure there’s no crocs or anything in this river, but I still want to make sure nothing can get you just in case”
