I need advice. My fiancé and I got engaged back in November, and a lot of our family want a wedding but 1. I have no friends or close enough family for bridesmaids 2. I don’t have a dad to walk me down the aisle 💁‍♀️I just feel like it wouldn’t work out

what do you want? do you want a wedding and are just embarrassed that you won’t have all the things you’re supposed to have or do you just not want a wedding?

I think I would prefer to just get eloped (feels more intimate to me especially since I’m introverted) and then have a reception party later at some point, but I don’t know if that’s like a normal thing. And yeah, I don’t have the healthiest family and his side are more stable. They’ve been so supportive but I’ve only been to like 1 wedding and that was when I was younger and I wouldn’t know how much I can tweak my own wedding… if that makes sense

that makes a lot of sense to me. i’m kind of the same way where my partner totally expects and wants a wedding but that’s not something i ever really saw for myself. do what you want, not what you think is normal or what people expect of you
