Most of the time (not all) the kids just manhandle the pets or step on them, drop them, etc and get nipped or scratched and parents end up disciplining the animals vs the kid or accidentally kill the animal cause it’s so small

And this is obviously just my experience but I’ve seen it a lot especially in households where the parents aren’t home
