My bf and I started dating in April 2024 and immediately went long distance for the first three months of our relationship. The best piece of advice I can give you is to call, not text. Don’t text each other as much and try to find a time every day or night to call or ft and catch each other up

Video calls and trust go a long way. I was in an LDR for over two years before we broke up (not cause anything went wrong in the relationship, he just had a major sad life event and didn’t want to burden me with it) and let me tell you, if you can’t trust your partner, it’s going to show.

Also obviously just keeping open communication, my bf would play r6 when we would FaceTime and it bothered me so I told him that I felt like he wasn’t present during FaceTimes and he stopped doing that

And we would always try to FaceTime to watch a movie or show tg or play a game tg once in a while

Last thing I can think of and it’s not as important but I still appreciated it, sometimes he would Venmo me to get coffee on the way to work and I would do the same on other days so it’s like even though we weren’t in person the little acts of service didn’t stop
