Just watched someone try to say not liking it was “fake feminist” you wanna know what’s actually fake feminist? Trying to guilt women about not wanting a male doctor in general when we know that weird shit happens so much more often than it ever should

Other people also don’t know what that patient has been through and what experiences they’ve had with doctors. Personally I’ve had horrible experiences with female doctors, but that’s not the case for everyone. Just because (general) you haven’t had a bad experience with a male gyno doesn’t mean someone else hasn’t

People get so traumatized that they avoid the source of trauma entirely. Some people who have been in car accidents will be too scared to get behind the wheel again, some see a loved one die in a plane crash and swear off air travel for the rest of their lives, etc. so if avoiding male gynos makes you feel safe then that’s not my concern

Exactly like ppl don’t know if someone’s gone through abuse, mistreatment, etc. Ntm there’s also a huge issue in the way medical research and some doctors act bc of bias. It can happen bc of gender, sex, race, etc. I’m highly selective bc of it and I don’t get how some ppl don’t realize/understand that
