I can’t anymore with skinny people saying that they’re treated as bad as fat people. I’m so fucking sorry you got told to eat a sandwich but I get told to starve myself on the daily and told that I will never be anything because I’m fat.

Super thin people are still body shamed, but you’re right that fat people definitely receive a lot more hate

Hey so body shaming literally anyone has the same effect whether that person is skinny or “fat”

Being fat is an oppressed class. You are oppressed which is why you’re treated that way. Society sucks.

Preach. Skinny people love to cosplay oppression and they are doing a great job of it rn.

As someone who has been on both sides of the spectrum I was treated better when I was skinnier but I was happier when I was heavier. I did have worse things said to me when I was skinnier tho then when I was heavier. I realized most of the time when I was heavier and thought people were being mean they didn’t actually care that much and it was my own fatphobia towards myself that made me interpret what they said as negative

Agreed. I got some major shit for being thin. But I’d never say I had it worse than someone who is plus sized

shes not arguing against the severity shes arguing against the frequency which is higher

So clearly you were never told to starve yourself or that you have demons inside you and that’s why you’re fat. My teacher in 8th grade told me that maybe if I stopped eating I wouldn’t have a hard time in class. He never got in trouble btw.

I had it where I was really skinny because I starved myself actually

This was because people told me to also

And that’s another thing, almost no one has an eating disorder because they want to be fat but one of the most common eating disorders is because people want to be skinny.

I starved myself because I thought it would make people like me more and instead it made people honestly hate me. Society makes us think that in order to be happy and have friends you need to be skinny but that’s not the truth

So you admit that societally skinny people are treated better than fat people

People think that the skinnier they are the more people will like them because that’s what media tells us but then in reality you aren’t liked at any size if your a woman. As long as you are a woman society will shame you for how you look. It doesn’t matter if you are skinny or not society will find something to shit on
