Personally I’m too damaged for a real relationship but I need more emotional connection than a hookup. It’s definitely not meant for everyone though and some ppl are scummy about it by hiding their true intentions

a lot of ppl convince themselves that they're ok w it bc they feel any connection they can get is better than none
