hi! my mental health is bad! i need a therapist that goes through my insurance but i can’t meet in person. has anyone tried better help or anything similar

i wouldn’t use better help as a first time experience. they have a long history of hiring unqualified randoms for therapists and not removing people when they harass clients and promote hate speech. if you use them, you have to be very careful with who you talk to. there’s probably some good ones on there but idk, not worth it to me

i checked with better help and im covered with $15 copay a session. is that good? sorry, i haven’t really done therapy before

you can check out your college resources, a lot of them offer free therapy. my university offered free therapy for my entire time there but i’ve heard of colleges only doing a few sessions a semester. def worth looking into

hi! i’ve done counseling through my school a year or two ago but it’s not as helpful as it can be- they really limit how many times you can meet per month due to the # of students. do you know something similar to better help? i need something long term that i can do when i travel to/from school , so virtual has to be an option for me

Like what #2 said, it’s way too risky and unhelpful- for my personal therapist, I only pay around 5$ a session! So searching in network should help, I’m trying to figure out how I got mine!
