A lot of fathers don’t. Speaking from experience. I wish I had more time with him, but he was busy providing for my mom.

a lot of fathers also do. i’m sorry for your specific circumstance but it’s very very common to see men still getting to have hobbies/free time while women lose that to childcare/domestic labor
