Me: hey so you said you’d remove it, can I get my money back *4 days later* Apartment: yeah we put the money back onto your portal account Me: no I need that money in my bank account I need that money Apartment: oh we can’t do that because you did pay for it and we can only give you credit Me: I only paid for it because you didn’t remove the fee in the first place and I would have had $150 in late fees Apartment: sorry, it won’t happen next month! But you can’t get your money back

i’d look into it to see if there’s a tenants union, rent board, or other advocacy group in your area you can talk to
