Felt a tender lump in my boob. I know I'm young so it's likely nothing but god the panic I immediately went into. I made an appointment but it's not for 3 days and I know I'll be thinking about it until then and after I'll need to get real imaging ughhh

if it makes you feel any better, i have a huge breast cancer risk and have 3 benign lumps currently. and have had 1 removed and 1 cyst go away in its own. there's almost no need to worry about it until you get an ultrasound. with how young we are it's most likely a fibroadenoma or a cyst. you're doing a great thing getting it looked at so soon, wishing u the best

Same thing happened to me at 22 and not even joking I sobbed every.single.day up until my appointment because I was SO scared and anxious but my ultrasound was completely normal! Wishing you the best and like #2 said it’s most likely something harmless like a cyst! big hugs 🫂❤️

Ugh I know the suspense is just killing me. I know it's going to be nothing but I need a professional to confirm it before I stop freaking out

Even if things are benign though can't they progress to malignant eventually?

in an ultrasound they can see exactly what the lump most likely is. a fibroadenoma isn't gonna become cancer if it's diagnosed as a fibroadenoma. it's so insanely rare for a diagnosed imaged lump to turn into cancer
