What if your parents and siblings really like your boyfriend and your best friend does, but then your friend group and roommates don’t? I’m conflicted cuz idk what they don’t like and it makes me wonder if they see something that I don’t lol

100%. left him and found my new boyfriend who my whole family/friends love. when people say listen to those around you, they mean it, especially your mom!!!

tbf my mom and sisters didn’t like him at first and now they love him. so much so that he woke up at my house on christmas morning and got to get a tree with us. my mom had never loved a bf like this before

i'd want to hear them out on WHY they don't like him, ur friends and roommates might see a different side of yall than ur family that they don't get. don't go into the convo super defensive, just be open to hearing their thoughts. u don't have to agree bc ur the one dating them, just knw everyone's feelings abt ppl are valid to them in some way

Yeah I definitely will I just hate confrontation/bringing up things that are uncomfortable. I tried to once and they told me they didn’t have any problems with him but that was months ago and things have gotten weirder since. I’m just confused cuz I feel like he’s a great guy but whenever he’s around my friends I can see them giving each other side eye and giggling/smiling as if there’s some inside joke, but I know I should ask them again at some point 😭

oh definitely won't be fun to bring up, but it's in everyone's best interest to put it all on the table so u can see if it's something u shouldn't look past or just them being weird haters

definitely a good idea to bring it up! it might not even be anything personal, for example my friend's bf tries to invite himself to everything and we're like girl we just wanna hang out w you like we didnt sign up to date him too😭
