Are there any sewers in here that can give me advice on how to sew in some silk or something to the inside of my beanie so that it doesn’t mess my hair up so much?

You could probably fix it to the edge of the hat under the rim where you flip it up so you can’t see it, and set a couple stitches to tack it to the top inside the beanie

My biggest concern is how I will measure out the fabric to fit, like it doesn’t have to be perfect I just don’t want to make it too small and waste fabric

My suggestion is to place it on your head to get an estimate and give yourself like an inch and a half of seam allowance where you can fold it in if there’s extra
