People just don’t have fun anymore because you always have some whiny bitch in your ear. You could be making Snow-cream and they’ll be like “erm, that snow is actually super dirty and it’s very gross that you’re using outside snow for thaaaaaatttt.” STFU

The concept of an HOA is so weird to me. Who would willingly live in a place where others get to dictate what you do with property you own? I just don’t get it.

I can understand why. Some people just don’t like living next to someone with an unkempt yard. Not as a look down your nose thing. But looking around outside of where you live can still affect ur mental even if it’s not your business yk?

Also it regulates things like trees. My dad’s mechanic shop in our back yard had a tree fall on it and bursted that mfer like a soda can. We were lucky he went inside for 2 seconds for lunch. He had customers cars on the lifts and everything. The tree wasn’t ours it was a dead tree my dad had been calling our neighbor to cut down at the back of this property (which was mostly wooded) for a YEAR

So things like that is why I understand why ppl want an HOA system. But I also don’t agree w the history and current abuse of power most have

almost every neighborhood where I live has an hoa. there are a couple of older neighborhoods that don’t, but it’s really hard to find a house that’s not in an hoa in some places

But what business is it of yours what 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦'𝘴 lawn looks like? Maybe it’s because I’m not from the city or suburbs but I’ll never understand why others should have the ability to dictate wat you do on your land.

I don’t live in the suburbs or the city. Like I said I don’t like HOAs but i understand how someone would rather live in a regulated neighborhood if that’s their cup of tea. HINCE why I’m not going to live in an HOA neighborhood

it feels very un american to think you should get to decide what other people do with their personal property

But also it’s the exact thing that would only happen in America. What showcases the American attitude more than believing your freedom should be protected by putting down on others expression to keep your white collar neighborhood all uniform. All regulated by a system that was made to make sure people of color couldn’t move into neighborhoods back in the day.
