Has anyone been tested for adhd as an adult? What was the process like? I am struggling but my area doesn’t have the proper resources

i haven’t been tested as an adult, and i don’t remember too much from being tested in 3rd grade (not that it would be the same questions/process anyway) but i can only imagine it’d be a few different “tests” and i have a feeling it’d be kinda similar to going to a psychiatrist appt.

like in the sense that there’d be pre appointment anxiety type forms, and then a therapy-like session to follow where the clinician evaluates how much it affects day to day life. maybe a few other things, but from what i’ve seen it’d probably span across a few appointments. best of luck and i hope you get the help you need!!!

no i get it, i was like THE poster child for adhd in like elementary-middle school. in high school i started managing it better and my grades were a lot better than they had been, but big changes (such a moving, college, etc) can definitely make it worse sometimes. good luck and i hope you get your diagnosis + proper care for it! 🩵
