wait i’m here for you diva. i’m also newly out of a relationship and i know how hard it is. for me, it just meant being alone for a little while. like not needing a constant companion to do the things i’d always wanted to do. i turned 21, and i always imagined going to the bar with him or a friend, but i ended up going alone to a little lounge and just having a really good cocktail. i watch the movies i always wanted to see that he didn’t. i made christmas cards for my friends. i applied for-

things i never could’ve done while in a relationship, like applying to work in alaska over the summer. i feel like being single is honestly really freeing. i was lonely at first and obviously sad over the breakup, but i have started to feel like me again, which i hadn’t in a while. a few guys asked me out, but i ended up turning them all down. i really don’t feel like dating anyone right now. i dunno 🤷‍♀️

also something that really changed my outlook was this: i was babysitting this 1 year old girl who had just learned to walk, and we were sitting in the living room and it was full of windows and the sun was shining so brightly and it was so warm, and the cat was sleeping on a chair and there was a lullaby playing and wind chimes blowing, and it was just so peaceful and beautiful. i thought: if this could be my life, and i didn’t have it disturbed by a mam, that would be such a dream
