Sometimes it helps to put the dog on a leash and guide him to the crate, 99% of the time they’ll just walk right in, just needed leash encouragement (i did this with my dog when he was younger- no pulling no fighting, he just walked right in…. IF he didnt cooperate you can loop the leash thru the crate and pull him in that way too😅)
