So sick of seeing the excuse “she consented to it” SHE WAS DRUNK AND HIGH. It is literally known you have to be sober to give consent.

Also idc if she “consented” 100 times over and over. When a girl decides not to that mean stops, not graping her repeatedly for seven hours.

I don’t care if she was butt ass naked throwing herself at every guy she saw- nobody should have touched her, she could not consent

Under current New York law, a person who is voluntarily intoxicated can still legally be considered capable of giving consent unless they are completely unconscious or physically helpless.

It’s so crazy to me that some people‘s first response is finding a way to defend these men

“it is literally known you have to be sober to give consent” is an objectively incorrect statement.

But… it’s not. Ignore the laws, MORALLY it is wrong if someone is not in their right state of mind. everyone knows (and if they don’t, they shouldn’t be drinking or doing substances) that substances alter decision making. And again, your first reaction is finding a way to blame the girl. That’s not a normal human reaction when something terrible happens 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

If someone went to Mexico and messed with the cartel I wouldn’t blame them after they got murdered, but would seriously question their decision making.

so you’re saying women shouldn’t go to frat parties?

It’s 100% their choice, but not going to frat parties objectively lowers a woman’s chances of being raped.

wanna know why? rape culture. don’t punish the women who are victims, punish the men who are the rapists.

I completely agree, but unfortunately rape, just like every other crime, will never cease to exist. We are only in control of our own decisions, and we should minimize our own chances of being victimized.

maybe rape, but gang rape at the degree of prevalence it’s at is not “just how things are”. this is a system that was forged, and therefore a system that must be destroyed.
