anyone else here in a sorority? i’m kind of regretting joining and i need to talk to somebody who get it 😭

I’m ngl I regretted it my entire time I was in one. Chapters and philanthropy and all the other events were hell. I made zero friends and was so lonely ESPECIALLY at sorority events where they all just hung out with their friends and I was alone. But it’s helped me in job applications and grad school

that’s so jarring to me, especially since sororities are supposed to be about sisterhood no matter what council it’s from

Yeah idk. I think I just had a bad big. I found out later her philosophy was it’s a littles job to create a relationship with their big. Which makes no sense to me bc it’s the bigs job to help you transition into the sorority

I’d literally try and talk to people and they’d clearly look around for someone else to talk to and once they found them they’d just walk away even if I was mid sentence 😀
