the majority of men do not give a fuck about your emotions, hobbies, dreams, talents, etc. at the end of it all, they just want to fuck. if they cant get that, even if only temporarily, they feel like you're trying to withhold something? or be difficult? WHAT IF I JUST DONT WANNA FUCK RIGHT NOW?š
the audacity of a man to comment, in a girls only space, that i experienced male sexual pressure in relationships because "im not choosing attractive men" and that hes never heard of this problem..... despite countless studies, testimonies, and sociologists saying otherwise. wow. you cant make this up
This is one of the reasons Iām scared of dating. I briefly went out with a guy when we were in college, he was my first. And heād had a girlfriend of three years until a year before we went out and heād like make some like innuendos and stuff before we actually had sex so I knew he was expecting it, and it was just the one time. And that was when I really discovered I was asexual
I have an amazing relationship with my partner (a man) and everything is perfect except that one thing. Heās never pressured me or done anything to make me worry, but I will always have that thought in the back of my head that just not having enough sex will be enough to write off the entire relationship for him.
i've worked on myself and don't believe in purity culture ,and i reject the idea of performing "my role" or perceiving myself through the eyes of a man but i seriously doubt that the average man has put in the work into himself. would he even realize that hes subconsciously acting out these beliefs? idk bro, lots to think about
Iām pretty sure there are whole sociological studies on the sexual expectations / pressure in heterosexual relationshipsā¦.. like the dynamics are especially skewed because of porn and just patriarchy in general ā¦.. this is not an isolated issue ā¦.. but Iām also well read
And a lot of people donāt. This is a space for women to vent about their lived experiences. Stop butting in with unsolicited opinions. MANY women have been treated poorly when they stop āputting outā or made to feel guilty for not being in the mood frequently enough (or not at all). Leave us alone, itās GIRL talk
