And they still haven’t texted back or made any effort to communicate their availability? I haven’t heard from them since October 😪 normally I try to give grace I understand everyone’s busy but 5 months is a long time

She’s shitty for doing that and yeah you’re justified. I kinda had the same happen when I asked a friend if she wanted to go out for NYE, they haven’t responded since🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 before that she was just like yeah I’m busy and broke which was understandable but I still wanted to hangout we don’t have to spend money. Some ppl are just bad at keeping friends.

It’s so crazy to me. It feels like people don’t have the capacity to be good friends anymore. I try to be understanding but this is someone who regularly hangs out with friend but maybe it was a bullet dodged. I remembered when we’d hang out she’d spend the whole time texting her boyfriend and then make an excuse to leave early to go hang out with him some more or complain about him.

No literally, it’s like you thought you found a genuine friend who doesn’t cut off their friends once they get a bf. It suck’s nowadays friendships don’t last long and ppl don’t bother trying. It’s one thing if we grew apart but it’s rare finding friends who wanna stick around. Like hanging out with me isn’t a threat?? I just wanna have a good time and catch up ppl are weird.

Yes exactly! It’s kinda depressing in a way. Gen-Z is like one of the loneliest generations but no one wants to be effort in fostering community or they take ppl who do for granted. So over it. I think I like friendship in theory but in practice it’s the trenches 😭
