Hi girls, what you do when you are feeling extremely depressed? I’ve been super depressed these past 2 months i don’t take care of myself i feel fat and ugly I don’t feel like doing nothing not even get out of my bed to even shower. Feel so ugly and fat.

i wallow in my depressive sorry ass state when im home and lock in when I actually have to do stuff like go to work and shit

i make a playlist that’s exclusively 2000’s club music and force myself to do self care. but my self care is like “wash hair” or “spend 15 minutes getting trash out of my room” because when stuff like that spirals its harder to get out of it

Im the same, honestly this isn’t great but Ive been considering buying wipes to shower with and I usually brush my teeth in my bed

what have you tried? i find that reaching out to friends and making any effort to see someone helps. even though it seems like such a hill, going for a walk, working out, and or eating clean is a huge help. the way you physically feel helps your mental a significant amount

Been there. Tbh having a job and forcing myself to go out and do things helps so much. Even if it’s just running to the store for one thing that you don’t really need but gets you out of the house.

also if i can do 5 minutes of self care tasks everyday i say that’s a good day because sometimes even that feels like a lot

i used to force myself to be around people but that only made me start hating people and hate myself even more because i hated being around people so i just started listening to my body and she said she wanted to be gross and depressed for a while so that's what I do now 🤷‍♀️ but that's not for everyone cause it could make u spiral so just listen to what u need

It really does feel a lot its been weeks that i just wash my hair and put it in a braid thats it I don’t feel like doing nothing else

The problem is that i don’t have friends here or any family nearby and i also don’t have time to work out because i go to classes early in the morning till afternoon and then i have to go to work by the time i come back the on campus gym is closed. I dont have a car so i have to rely on what the campus offers like the gym

I do have a job, 2 actually and i do it because i have too is my responsibility. But tbh most of the days i really don’t feel like going

then do that! if u don't have anything planned this weekend just rot in bed, order food and scroll on ur phone or dont scroll on ur phone its up to you! just make sure u have atleast one meal and some water 🙂‍↕️🙏 that's what i do when i feel like that

if you have some pto hours use them to take a mental health day and give urself a 3day weekend, however long u feel like u need
