I don’t get your point. Are you saying we just shouldn’t complain about the heat when we’re going through a crazy heatwave for this area? We also find ways to deal with it. We don’t usually have acs in English homes because the country is mild temped or cold majority of the time. The summers are usually mild. We’re more concerned with keeping heat in and our houses are not built for air conditioning units or window acs. The hotter our summers get the more acs we’ll have

i mean it’s MUCH hotter than what they’re used to, and most of the US experiences hotter summers than the UK, so it makes sense that most newer buildings in the US, especially in the south, are built with ac, while those in the UK aren’t. so for many ppl living there, it’s a cost that is mostly unnecessary. also regardless i would complain too, there was a heat wave in my first semester of college and my dorm didn’t have ac, it was all anyone on campus was talking abt lol
