like i love babies but id never have one of my own. i love that when a baby pukes or shits i can hand it away and i just get all the good bits (cuddles and playing). call me selfish but id rather travel the world and keep going to college to learn more than have to worry abt a kid. kids are great but not for me

There definitely is a lot of antinatalist propaganda out there influencing how people think about kids and having children of their own. And watching all of that propaganda wash away in a moment of human connection is kinda like watching someone hard reset. It happens to both men and women. I get what you mean though, it’s icky the way it’s talked about.

I see couples who chose to remain childless finally getting to speak about how their lives aren’t entirely miserable & women feel they have purpose outside of a nuclear family. Is that propaganda? Is that a problem? You really need more women having kids today? You really truly can’t believe people don’t want to bring more humans into this world? what you’re not understanding is that it is practically dangerous for women to have families and especially a large family. States and governments are increasingly making it more life threatening to get pregnant and have children, and then no one can fucking provide for the children!! They’re unsafe in schools and daily life, it’s all fucked.

Im gonna need you to elaborate a little because people will call child free women anti-natalist for sitting down and explaining why they chose not to have kids. Which they wouldn’t have to do if enough people felt like that choice needed an explanation since it’s not the “factory settings”. No one asks why people choose to have kids, it’s still expected. People absolutely love to shame moms tho, just like they shame childfree women, its just misogynistic
