i love being from durham nc while watching stranger things cuz yeah they’re in hawkins but those roads and random names? durham! i live near cornwallis and kerley! there’s no jordan lake in hawkins that’s here in nc! cuz the duffer brothers grew up here!

there’s so many little easter eggs you can really only pick up if you’ve lived here or know durham pretty well and it feels so cool like wow me and only the other folks in durham really get those small references the duffer brothers rly said it’s time to represent nc

i’m so biased for nc i love anything it’s in 😭 i love the hunger games for more reasons than this but district 12 is here! the henry river mill district :D and cars 3 is mostly set in the mountains and beaches of nc until the end in florida cuz nc is kinda one of the birthplaces for racing cars! there’s a statue of lightning mcqueen in the nascar hall of fame in charlotte nc lmao
