Talk to him. Tell him what you’ve noticed. Ask if there is anything you can partner with him to do make things more consistent. If there isn’t an understandable reason, tell him you want to work on things with him, ask him to work as a team to build a fun plan, and give it two more months. If consistency doesn’t improve, it’s a choice, and now you can make one too.
